Skateboard Mom and The Sisters of Shred
BOARDS & BIKES — 18/10/2015 — by Christian H.
This is something that you don’t see every day: Barbara Odanaka started skateboarding when she was 10, but stopped in middle school when she joined a track team. Since then, she wrote for the LA Times, authored children’s books, and became a mom. 25 years later, she returns to her skateboard and never looks back. Now, she’s known as Skateboard Mom. Watch how she takes on her passion full-time and inspires other women – The Sisters of Shred – in California to do the same.
